Hi! My name is Carmel and I'm the President of Bright-Minds. I'm currently a junior at Brookwood, and my strengths are Math and Science. I'm a student athlete and I have maintained a 4.0 gpa with gifted and AP classes. I love seeing the light-bulb moment when young kids finally understand something, and I want to help make that happen which is why I wanted to start tutoring. Bright-Minds has allowed me to help kids and give back to my community to the best of my ability.    

Hi! My name is Jowet Haile and I'm the Vice President of Bright Minds. I am a junior at Brookwood High School. I have well rounded knowledge of all subject but my favorite is spanish! I am a varsity sprinter on Brookwood's track team. Additionally, I have 4.0 GPA, an academic and athletic letter. Further, I am involved in multiple clubs and honor societies at Brookwood. I have been working with kid's since freshmen year, tutoring all subjects! I love helping kids learn new material because I think academic satisfaction contributes to a good self worth. I enjoy spending time with kids and I can't wait to meet your student!

 Hello! My name is Ariana Swindell, and I am the Secretary of Bright-Minds. I'm a junior at Brookwood High School, and I consider my academic strengths to be history, writing, reading comprehension, and Spanish.  I have a brother who is a fourth grader at Gwin Oaks Elementary school, so I am no stranger to coming up with creative ways to keep kids like him engaged in learning! I have maintained a 4.0 GPA throughout high school, and I have been awarded the scholar athlete award each season I cheered.  Bright Minds gives me an opportunity to better know the kids in my community, and help those around me! 

 Hi! My name is Kristian and I'm one of the Publicity Officers at Bright-Minds. I’m currently a junior at brookwood high school, and my favorite school subjects are history, art, and french. I am also currently enrolled in two ap classes. I always help take care of my nephews, so i have quite a lot of experience with elementary aged children and the demands of their teachers. I understand that sometimes it can be challenging for students to retain all the information they learn in school, which is why i am happy to provide aid for students and give back to my community through this group. 

 Hi! I’m Destiny and I’m one of the Publicity Officers of Bright-Minds. I'm a junior at Brookwood High School. I am a full time student athlete that maintains my 4.0 GPA while taking AP, honors, and gifted classes. I understand this shift to digital learning and Corona Virus has been difficult for many, so I wanted to give back to my community and aid young students and parents during this time. 

 Hello my name is Kayla Jordan and I am a Junior at Brookwood High school. I am a 2020 Brookwood Peer Leader and a sprinter on the varsity track team. I have a 3.9 GPA and though I am stronger in teaching reading, writing, social studies and science,  I can also help tutor in math as well. 

 My name is Jada White, and I am a junior at Brookwood High School. Throughout my high school career, I have taken 6 AP classes, and a plethora of courses with honors. Additionally, I am involved in multiple extracurriculars, including cheerleading, Beta Club, Rho Kappa, and NHS. Despite my busy schedule, I have managed to maintain my 4.0 GPA and still work on my mental wellbeing. Ultimately, I am super excited to be a part of this new tutoring program, and I look forward to meeting and helping many children in the near future. :)  

 Hi, my name is Savannah Surani. I have a 4.0 unweighted GPA. My favorite subjects are Math and Science. I really enjoy Biology and Spanish. I participate in a few tutoring programs through Brookwood and in my religious community, and I really enjoy working with kids.  

 Hi I’m Hannah! I have much tutoring experience both outside and within the school district. I am currently a student athlete with a GPA of 4.0. And some of my favorite subjects include Math and Spanish. 

 Hi, my name is Runako. My goal in life is to give back to the world and tutoring is going to be one of the many ways that I can do that. Math is my strong suit but I have always enjoyed Social Studies. I’m a strong believer in practice makes perfect, so getting a little extra tutoring is a great idea. I’m a student athlete and have a solid GPA. 

Hello my name is Tori! I have a 4.0 gpa and play varsity basketball at Brookwood. I’ve always enjoyed helping others and I think that tutoring for Bright Minds is a perfect way to do that.  My favorite subject is math because I love the excitement I get once I figure out what I’m doing. I want to help students obtain study habits that will help them for the rest of their schooling career and I want to make it fun. I know that during online school, it can be difficult to actually enjoy what you’re doing. I am hoping that I will be able to make learning fun again for the students I get an opportunity to tutor with.

Hi, my name is Oscar.  I'm a dedicated student at Brookwood and a hard working athlete for the brookwood track and XC team. I work well with children since my sister is in 3rd grade. 

 Hi my name is Kyra I am in 11th grade and I currently attended Brookwood High School. Math is my favorite subject because I enjoy the challenge of putting together different combinations of numbers. Math is a subject that consist of repetition so once you get the hang of it you got it. I decided to be apart of Bright-Minds tutoring because I love working with kids. I look forward to meeting you guys and helping you progress on your learning.  

 Hi, my name is Alicia Lim my GPA is a 3.968, and have lettered in Cross Country as well as lettered academically. I also am a part of Beta club and NEHS.
